Marist College is located in Poughkeepsie. Marist has a test optional policy for admission. Applicants are not required to submit SAT or ACT to receive consideration for acceptance.

The Marist Core
It's not just what you know, but how you know.
The cornerstone of the Marist Core, The First Year Seminar (FYS) introduces students to college level research, critical thinking, writing and interdisciplinary study. Students also take Writing for College course in the first year.
Marist Honors Programme.
Marist invites students in the top five to seven percent of each incoming freshman class to join it's Core/Liberal Studies Honors Programme. Over the four years, students take 6 courses: Five Honors seminars and one seminar in Honors Ethics.
IB policy
Marist is quite generous in providing credit for IB Hl and SL subjects.
